  • easter etc

happy easter to ya'll. did anybody's mom still force them to participate in all the easter traditions? its just like even though all their kids are older now they just don't want such heartwarming traditions to die. i think it keeps em young. and then for the sake of making mom happy you end up dying your share of eggs, hiding and finding your share of eggs and eating the benefits.

my time in Nebraska was well worth it. I love flying solo for some reason. this time flying was incredibly awesome though because we flow through this thunderstorm and it just looked amazing. Although there was quite a bit of turbelence. Now everytime I fly I find myself looking around at all the passengers and imagining if I was on LOST how I would end up knowing all of them very well. (haha ok so I'm a lil' obsessed with that show)

So I think....not positive I guess..but pretty sure I'm gonna go to college at UNL. The university of Nebraska at Lincoln. I just feel comfortable there. And its not as small as like Dordt but not as big as Illinois. It's like maybe 25000. and everyone is real nice and I have family there and well lets face it..as the saying goes..theres no place like Nebraska. (i know all you chicagoans probably think i'm nuts but its true)

oh and can you believe how wonderful the weather is nowadays. its basically like summer...
happy easter once again, and lets not forget what Christ has done for us

so spring break was not good for me. It made me realize how wonderful life is without school, and has made me a lot lazier. I've also given up on the idea that I won't have to take semester tests, because I'm pretty sure I have/will miss more than 5 days. Like next week I'm gonna miss two days to fly out to Nebraska, visit my g-rents, and visit the grand ol' school University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Oh and this weekend I'm spending Friday night at Illinois. Basically I'm cramming like all my visits in as soon as possible. I mean I still have like what...4 weeks to decide. Who knew picking a college is so hard. I'm not even that picky, but I am indecisive on so many little things, let alone "big decisions" like college.

anyway...only like 2 and 1/2 months of school left. (if i was still in south dakota I would only have like 23 days left)
but i'm gonna go eat some cereal, oh guess what? general mills cereal now comes with a free itune song, its quite the bonus. Whats better than eating lucky charms and downloading the latest hit song..i mean c'mon. haha.

wow....its been forever! (ok more like 3 + months) I vowed that I wasn't gonna be a xanga user anymore, but here I am on Spring break on the ocean with hours and hours of down time. So I figured writing a lil something something might take up some time.

North Carolina is great. We are staying, just us 6, at this 2million dollar give or take beach house with the ocean as our backyard for a week. The town is very cute, with all the houses on stilts, brightly painted stores and homes, the rundown restaurants, the souvenir shops. All of us have our own rooms, our own tvs, our own bathrooms, (good family bonding time) even an elevator! (wait...we share that)

I really never thought of myself as the beach girl type, I mean I never used to like seafood, or the water, or the sand, let alone own a two piece suit, but I think this vacation has made me realize I could very quickly become a beach bum. It's sooo relaxing and beautiful, and if your bored, (besides coming online) just lay out on the sand.

At night time though, I must say it is rather scary. The waves are sooo loud. My room, mind you I'm all alone, has a sliding door right out to the patio, (easy access for bad guys) and last night I'll I could think of was Henry Gail from LOST. Watching LOST on an island indeed added to the already amazing show. I tried to get Corrie to go on a walk with me after the show but no such luck.

well. i think i can blame this loong entry on my no writing for three months. I hope you all are having a merry spring break, those of you who have one that is.

life is good. (no, not the cereal, jenni). i'm completely finished, done with, everything having to do with semester uno. my last test was at 10:15 thismorning.
I am pleased to state that I will be able to devote all my time, well most of it, to the social aspects and personal enjoyment of being able to relax.
To help me with that, I'd like to thank my east coast buddy...you know who you are, for giving me prolly the best belated christmas present of all time. he remembered my lamenting and regretting sighs about how i had to give up my super nintendo at the peak of my gaming,
and thanks to ebay, paypal, and the pony express, i opened up this humongous box with glee, twas christmas wrapped even, and found: in perfect working condition a super nintendo, not a mere plugnplay console, but the real deal...with super mario, disneys' aladan. and like 10 other games that I get to borrow and get a peek into the past, that will indeed keep me entertained for months plus.
no folks, the present didn't just stop there, but I got my very first Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtle action figure that I can call my own. I used to love those guys, uh turtles, and if i could, would spend bundles of money on action figures, and toys of all sorts. If I ponder for a minute, its such a shame that most of my money is for the most part spent on food, clothes, and 10 dollar movies.
i must say as far as I can tell, this weekend is looking swell, as well, not to mention us timothy students wont be sitting in desks for our 2nd consecutive monday. till next time, farewell
